Dimmick Community Consolidated School District 175 issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
Dimmick School would like to introduce two new staff members for the 2018-19 school years. Jennifer Jones (Music/Band) and Rey Arteaga (Spanish).
Jennifer Jones is a 2015 Graduate of Illinois State University with a K-12 Music Education license and endorsements in English/Language Arts and History/Social Sciences. Jennifer will be teaching Music and Band at Dimmick in the afternoons and Music at Oglesby Lincoln in the mornings.
Rey Arteaga is a 2018 Northern Illinois University Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and a Spanish minor. He will be teaching K-8 Spanish this year on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In addition, he will be the head boys' basketball and an assistant track coach at Dimmick. You may also see Mr. Arteaga at IVCC as the head Women’s Soccer Coach and the Illinois Valley Football Club U19 Head Soccer Coach.
We would like to welcome Ms. Jones and Mr. Arteaga to the Dimmick Team and wish them a great school year!
