Analysis: Marseilles pays $1.83 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Marseilles Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 64.7 percent of the $198,529 the Marseilles Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.83 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Marseilles contributed $128,401 to the fund, which saw a $3,487 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $70,128, or 35.3 percent, in 2018.
