Analysis: LaSalle pays $6.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lasalle Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.3 percent of the $178,887 the Lasalle Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, LaSalle contributed $154,415 to the fund, which saw a $5,554 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $24,472, or 13.7 percent, in 2018.
