City of Peru Committee of a Whole met Feb. 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

A Committee Of A Whole meeting was called to order by City Clerk Dave Bartley in the Peru City Council Chambers on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, Lukosus and Moreno present; Alderman O’Sadnick absent; Mayor Kolowski present.

PUBLIC COMMENT

MINUTES

Clerk Bartley presented the Committee of A Whole Minutes of January 2. Alderman Payton made a motion that the minutes be received and placed on file. Alderman Lukosus seconded the motion; motion carried.

CLOSED SESSION

Alderman Lukosus made a motion to go into closed session to discuss collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. Alderman Sapienza seconded the motion. Clerk Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, Lukosus and Moreno voting aye; Alderman O’Sadnick absent; motion carried.

Closed session began at 6:04 p.m. and ended at 6:54 p.m.

Alderman Sapienza made a motion to reopen the meeting. Alderman Lukosus seconded the motion. Clerk Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Ballard, Tieman, Payton, Edgcomb, Sapienza, Lukosus and Moreno present; Alderman O’Sadnick absent; Mayor Kolowski present.

ADJOURNMENT

Alderman Edgcomb made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Alderman Lukosus seconded the motion and motion carried.

Meeting adjourned 6:54 p.m.
