Ken Brown called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m.

Minutes
Moved by Steve Malinsky second by Tim McTaggart, to approve the minutes of the January 14, 2026, meeting as written. All ayes. Motion passed.
Old Business
• FIRE
▫ Two of the three new hires—Lauren Bangert and Kenneth Harris—have passed their medical exams. The Third new hire, Daniel Robey, did not pass the medical examination and the conditional offer of employment has been rescinded. To fill this third slot, another candidate was pulled from the eligibility list and given a conditional offer. This individual, Jackson Novak, has a Stanard and Associate’s psychological exam scheduled for February 12, 2026, with the medical examination soon to follow.
â–« New hire Jackson Novak is currently in paramedic courses and will attend academy later this year.
• POLICE
â–« The Lateral Transfer list closed on February 5, 2026, with one eligible candidate. Kyle Henson completed his oral examination on February 10. Moved by Steven Malinsky,seconded by Kenneth Brown, the Board approved the finalized lateral transfer list. All Ayes. Motion passed.
▫ Kyle Henson’s hire has been approved by Commissioner Ganiere’s previous letter given in August 13, 2025’s meeting. His psychological examination is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, and his medical examination is scheduled for Thursday, February 12.
