On Friday, Feb. 28, former LaSalle-Peru Township High School standout Kaitlyn Gibson’s current college team, the Ball State Cardinals, lost 3-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Blue Raider Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Blue Raider Softball Field against Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders.
