There were four offenders convicted of crimes involving weapons released on parole near Illinois zip code 61364 during the first half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Illinois Valley Times.

The data shows that three men and one woman were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for crimes involving weapons, one is a veteran, and the median age is 45. The youngest parolee was a 33-year-old man sentenced in 2015, and the oldest was a 72-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Andrew Cannata. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2015 when he was 28 years old. He is now 33.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
