On Tuesday, March 18, former LaSalle-Peru Township High School standout Julius Sanchez’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 8-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Indiana State Sycamores.

The game took place at Illinois Field. This was their first matchup against the Sycamores this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park against Northwestern Wildcats.
