On Friday, Feb. 28, former LaSalle-Peru Township High School standout Julius Sanchez’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, lost 10-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The game took place at Las Vegas Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Red Raiders this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Las Vegas Ballpark against Washington Huskies.
