There was a single gas station in Putnam County selling regular gas, and it offered it at the price of $3.07 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Only one gas station was reported in Putnam County.

For comparison, the average price of regular gas in Illinois was $2.95 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 21, down from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
