Illinois Valley Community Hospital issued the following announcement on April 6.
Taking the time to connect with patients on a personal basis is just one of the reasons the Hygienic Institute’s Alondra Salinas, CMA, received April’s IVCH Employee of the Month Award. “Each patient feels like they are the most important person she is taking care of,” said the nomination from Carrie Lijewski, HI director. “In addition, her blood drawing skills are amazing. I have heard over and over again from patients that they didn’t even know she had completed the draw as she has a way of talking with them to distract the feeling of the stick.” Lijewski called Salinas the “go to” CMA for all the Hygienic’s providers not only for her skills but her initiative and personality.
