LaSalle Planning Commission to discuss Old Dominion zoning petition

The LaSalle Planning Commission will discuss Old Dominion Freight Line's petition for a zoning change, during the commission's next meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, at City Hall, 745 Second St.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby provided of a public hearing that will take place on the 18th day ofJuly, 2016, before the City of LaSalle Planning Commission at 5:30 p.m. in the City CouncilChambers at City Hall, 745 Second Street, LaSalle, Illinois, concerning the following mattersand matters related thereto:

A. The petition of Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. a Virginia Corporation a/k/a Old

Dominion Freight Lines Inc., a Virginia Corporation, for a zoning change to M-1, Light

Industrial in the event of and upon annexation to the City of La Salle; said premises are

presently zoned by the County of La Salle as A-1, Agriculture; said premises and

property are commonly described as 761 E. Route 6, La Salle, Illinois and more

specifically described as:

PARCEL 1:

THAT PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST

QUARTER OF SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 33 NORTH, RANGE 2, EAST OF

THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHEAST

QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SAID SECTION 5,

THENCE DUE NORTH 609.84 FEET ON THE WEST LINE OF THE

SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SAID

SECTION 5; THENCE SOUTH 89° 49' 30" EAST 250.00 FEET; THENCE DUE

SOUTH 609.84 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE SAID NORTHEAST

QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 89° 49' 30" WEST, 250.00 FEET ON THE

SOUTH LINE OF THE SAID NORTHEAST QUARTER TO THE POINT OF

BEGINNING, AN ALL BEING SITUATED IN UTICA TOWNSHIP IN

LASALLE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

THAT PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST

QUARTER OF SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 33 NORTH, RANGE 2, EAST OF

THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHEAST

QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SAID SECTION 5,

THENCE DUE NORTH 609.84 FEET ON THE WEST LINE OF THE

SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SAID

SECTION 5, TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE

CONTINUING DUE NORTH 87.12 FEET ON THE SAID WEST LINE;

THENCE SOUTH 89° 49' 30" EAST, 330.00 FEET; THENCE DUE SOUTH

696.96 FEET, TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE SAID NORTHEAST

QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 89° 49' 30" WEST, 80.00 FEET ON THE SAID

SOUTH LINE; THENCE DUE NORTH 609.84 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89°

49' 30" WEST 250.00 FEET, TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, AND

ALL BEING SITUATED IN UTICA TOWNSHIP IN LASALLE COUNTY,

ILLINOIS. Said premises also being referenced by La Salle County Parcel #19-

05-204-000 and Parcel # 19-05-205-000.

That in connection with the above request and matters related thereto, the Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle may take such action and make such recommendations as the PlanningCommission of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances forrecommendation and/or consideration thereof to the City Council in the appropriate of exerciseof discretion of the Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle, including making recommendations in connection with any modifications of said requests as the Planning Commission may deem appropriate in the circumstances, all of which may also be subject to andcontingent upon such further covenants, terms, provisions and restrictions as the Planning Commission of the City of LaSalle may deem appropriate in the circumstances at the time of saidPlanning Commission Hearing and/or any continuance and/or reconvening of the same, all ofwhich will be held pursuant to and consistent with the law in such cases, including, but not beinglimited to all parties being provided an opportunity to be heard and to examine and to crossexamineall potential witnessed.
