Ottawa 911 Board updated on radio-console upgrades

Meeting 10

At a recent meeting, the Ottawa 911 Board received an update on radio-console upgrades.

Meeting Minutes

***Meeting held March 9th 2016 at City Hall, 301 W. Madison St.***

Call to Order Haywood 0805 All board members present.

Approval of Minutes Motioned by D. Ganiere. Second by A. Rivers; all ayes

Approval of Treasures Report Motioned by C. Newbury. Second by D. Ganiere; all ayes

Old Business

~Radio Console Upgrade Update- after speaking with ChiComm the cost has increased

and also to purchase just the console it will cost additional to retrofit our old system to work withthe new consoles.

~SB0096 (911 PSAP Consolidation)- any updates/ County-wide meeting- email was

received from the state stating Ottawa is on the list for consolidation which the current talks willsuffice. New county 911 board will be one member from each existing 911 board prior toconsolidation.

~Computer Aided Call Handling program by Powerphone; financing can be possible.

Eforcesoftware interface was approx $4,500. Formal proposals are requested from Powerphoneand Eforcesoftware.

~ Service Contracts with Motorola was presented for renewal and a possible less

expensive agreement with ChiComm may be available. It will be looked into and placed on theagenda for next meeting.

New Business

~New computer for 4th dispatch Console- Glen Cole/ IT; Glen is waiting on additional

proposals for costs and additional applications that may be used on the computer. He will returnto the board with a cost at a later meeting.

~Zetron for dispatch consoles- a rep from Mercury systems that is a vendor for Zetron

will be here to evaluate our system and give a proposal.

~TC Week was discussed.
