Practices for fall sports get underway next week at Ottawa High School (OHS), according to the school's il.8to18.com page.
Football starts Monday, Aug. 8, on the practice field. The varsity squad will practice at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., while the freshmen and sophomores will practice from 8-10:30 a.m.
The other fall sports have their first practices Wednesday, Aug. 10.
Boys' soccer will open from 9-11 a.m. on the soccer field for all players. Participants must bring shin guards, cleats and water.
Girls' tennis practice starts for all players from 9-11 a.m. at the OHS courts. Participants should bring their own rackets and water
Girls' volleyball opens at Kingman Gym with three practice sessions: freshmen from 9-11 a.m., sophomores from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the varsity from 2-4 p.m.
Golf practice will begin at 8:15 a.m. at Dayton Ridge for the varsity, and at 7:45 a.m. at Pine Hills for the freshmen and sophomores.
Cross country practice starts at 8:30 a.m. in the courtyard.
Participants must have a current physical to start practices with their respective teams.
