At a meeting this week, the LaSalle County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) was updated on ETSB's consolidation with the Public Safety Answering Points Board (PSAP).
The LaSalle County ETSB is responsible for, but not limited to: planning and implementing an Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System for all residents in rural LaSalle County; coordinating and supervising the implementation, upgrading, maintenance, repair and operation of the system; receiving funds from the surcharge for deposit into the Emergency Telephone System Fund; authorizing all disbursements from the fund; and purchasing and leasing necessary equipment for the operation of the enhanced 9-1-1 system.
