Seneca’s Village Council recently approved the hiring of three new police officers -- two full-time and one part-time.
Frank Bray and John Crawford were given the green light during the Village Council’s regular council meeting at 340 N. Cash Street. Bray previously served in the Public Health and Safety Department.

The council also hired Robert Harris, also from the Public Health and Safety Department, as a part-time officer.
The addition of these officers brings the total police force for the Village of Seneca to four full-time officers, plus the police chief. This will enable more officers to be situated on the street in a regular rotation and also gives the police department a higher degree of consistency so that it can better serve the public with a sense of familiarity among citizens.
The department will continue to supplement its police force by utilizing its roster of well-qualified part-time officers to maintain public service and safety in the riverside village.
