Alderman Ferrari made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2016 Finance & Safety
Services Meeting. Alderman Radtke seconded the motion; motion carried.
The Committee reviewed and approved the disbursements for payment on August 10, 2016.

Economic Development Director Bob Vickrey reported he attended a meeting in Springfield to announce the 12 recipients of Enterprise Zone approvals. Economic Development Director Bob Vickrey stated that the City of Peru is ranked 15 out of 18 applicants.
Committee approved $1,000 donation to Illinois Valley Pad’s.
Committee approved $500 donation to the Peru Veteran’s Memorial Group for the annual Pearl
Harbor Parade and memorial service December 3rd.
Committee approved $100 donation to the 3rd annual LaSalle Peru Founders Patrol Breakfast Committee approved $500 donation to the IV Superbowl for the annual Professional Bowlers Tournament.
Committee denied donation request to LaSalle County Historical Society.
Committee approved donation to the CSO not to exceed $500
Police Chief Doug Bernabei reported on the installation of concurrent security key access system.

Fire Chief Jeff King reported on the replacement of downtown sidewalk in the 1800 block with Ladzinski not to exceed
Committee discussed/recommended the seeking of applicants for a new public works employee with an emphasis of water knowledge.
