The Illinois Valley Community College men's golf team finished sixth in the Timber Creek Classic on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Dixon, the school's athletic website reported.
The Eagles had a team score of 365 in the event, which was won by Black Hawk College with a playoff win over Parkland College.
Carter Piercy and Connor Soenksen each shot 90 for IVCC, followed by Bobby Morse at 92, Joey Dudek at 93 and Marv Pflibsen at 98.
The day before, the Eagles were seventh out of nine teams at the Skyhawk Classic on Emerald Hill Golf Course in Sterling. IVCC had a team score of 333, with Piercy notching the top individual score for the Eagles by shooting an 81. Soenksen had an 82, Dudek was at 83, Morse was at 87 and Pflibsen was at 89.
Parkland College had a team score of 306 to win the meet.
