La Salle City Council reviews police income report

The La Salle City Council met Oct. 24 to review police income report.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the council:

The La Salle City Council includes the mayor and eight council members — two each from each of the city’s four wards. Regular meetings are held at 7 p.m. every other Tuesday in city council chambers, 745 Second St.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the Regular Council meeting and Public Hearing held on Monday, October 10, 2016.

PETITIONS Request from Rosati’s Pizza for a Sign Permit to erect an illuminated double face wall sign for premises located at 148 Gooding Street and related matters.

Request from Dr. William White for a Sign Permit to erect a single face, non-illuminated wall sign that will overlay the existing wood sign with aluminum panel for premises located at 225 Gooding Street and related matters.

Request from Ameren Illinois to break ground at -951 Bucklin, Unit DN to retire gas service -Royal Wood Drive to replace bad ug cable

REPORTS OF CITY OFFICERS Treasurer’s Report for September 2016 showing cash balances in the La Salle State Bank of $10,741,241.91 and in Hometown National Bank of $143,864.88.

Building Inspector’s Report for September 2016 showing total fees collected of $2,222.80 with total value of construction of $202,700.

Monthly Police Income Report for September 2016 showing total fees collected of $5,991.44.

COMMUNICATIONS Illinois Department of Revenue Report showing sales tax collected for July 2016 of $85,378.33 and referendum approved sales tax of $36,050.41 for a total of $119,628.74.

BIDS Bid opening and potential action thereon including, but not being limited to, action on potential ordinance related thereto regarding City real estate commonly known as 615-625 Sixth Street and related matters.

STANDING COMMITTEES Recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding the petition of John P. Dzierzynski to reduce the front yard setback an additional ten feet for the construction of a front entry way to the existing residence located at 2295 Washington Street and related matters.

Recommendation of the Planning Commission regarding the petition of LPRE Holdings, LLC d/b/a/ Heritage Enterprises for a Special Use Permit related to a proposed memory care facility and related endeavors on premises located at 1445 Chartres Street and related matters.

ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS An Ordinance Authorizing Variance Concerning Premises as Requested by John Dzierzynski regarding Premises at 2295 Washington Street within the City of La Salle.

Ordinance Approving Final Plat Peru Federal Addition to the City of La Salle, Illinois and potential action thereon.

An Ordinance Authorizing Entry into “Access Agreement” By and Between Quality Liquid Feeds Inc. (“QLF”) and the City of La Salle.

An Ordinance further regulating parking on Second Street from Sterling Street to Crosat Street.

Resolution 201609 authorizing Special Use Permit and related matters

Resolution 201610 requesting authorization from the Illinois Department of Transportation to allow the City of La Salle to proceed with sidewalk removal/replacement on US Route 6.

COMMENTS

EXECUTIVE SESSION Regarding pending and/or potential imminent litigation and related matters: Collective bargaining and related matters, and acquisition and/or sale of city real estate and related matters and the employment, appointment, performance and/or compensation of non-union personnel and related matters pursuant to the Open Meetings Act including 5-ILCS 120 Section 2(c)1-3,5,6,and 11 thereof.
