The Sandwich Public Library District is accepting applications for a part-time clerk in its circulation department.
The job is intended to be a permanent, though part-time, position. The chosen applicant will work Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m and a rotating Saturday schedule, working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on select Saturdays. The job will be for eight to 16 hours of work weekly; flexibility is a plus. The position starts at $9 per hour, depending upon qualifications.
The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable personality and will be a self-starter who pays attention to detail and is willing to learn. Good customer-service skills and a willingness to work with people of all ages are necessary.
Qualified applicants will have at least a high-school diploma or the equivalent. Experience using computers, handling money and phone experience are a plus.
