Doctors and staff from the Illinois Valley Community Hospital will put their steady hands to the test during a food-based fundraiser on April 6.
The third "Cookin' with the Doctors" event is sponsored by the hospital's foundation. Money raised from ticket sales, a silent auction and sponsorship opportunities will pay for medical equipment and necessary services at the hospital.
The doctors doubling as chefs include Paul Bonucci, Mark Fernandez, Paul Kim, Steve Lukancic, Tony Williams, Shyrlena Bogard, Kelly DeBoer, Mark Henry and Eugene Becker.
“Besides enjoying great food, guests will also get an opportunity to talk with the doctors in an informal setting,” Renee Kim, hospital foundation board member, said.
The fundraiser will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Club. Tickets cost $35 but must be purchased in advance at ivch.org or the IVCH West Street information desk between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. The IVCH Foundation office and public relations office on floor 2R of the hospital will also have tickets for sale.
A table of 10 can be reserved for $500. Interested donors may also sponsor a doctor for $150.
