State Rep. David Welter (R-Morris) said he conducted a series of town hall meetings last month to allow constituents throughout the 75th District to be heard on issues such as the state's budget impasse.
“Keeping constituents informed and listening to their feedback is my most important priority,” Welter said in a release. “I welcome every local resident to attend ... and make their voice heard. I look forward to sharing my perspective on what is happening in Springfield and listening to the concerns of local families and taxpayers,” he said prior to the meetings.
The meetings covered each of the four counties – Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle and Will – in the 75th District. Welter focused on the budget impasse, fielded questions from attendees and listened to their concerns at the meetings.
The first meeting took place June 15 in Seneca, with subsequent meetings on June 19 in Plano, June 21 in Morris and June 22 in Wilmington.
