Rep. Jerry Long (R-Streator) said he will be hosting jobs fair Aug. 2 at Wallace Grade School in Ottawa to help area residents connect with employers.
The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will feature workshops and nearly 40 employers, including state employers and those from the private sector, Long said on his website. The first workshop, focusing on successful interviewing, will begin at 9 a.m. A workshop at 10:30 a.m. will teach attendees about networking on social media.
Admission for the jobs fair is free, as are the workshops, and those planning to attend are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes for prospective employers.
