Tonica Grade School #79 Board of Education met July 19.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
I. Routine Business
President Brian Marcinkus convened the board meeting at 6:32 p.m. Julie Rietgraf, Jackie Anderson, Tony Bernardoni, Nikki Freeman, and Ritch Fundell were present.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Additional Attendees: Mr. Charles Schneider (Superintendent/Principal), Kirsten Augspols, Amy Mareta, Barb Puetz, Karen Fassig (Illinois Central School Bus), Zach Pratt (Tonica News).
Motion by Freeman, 2nd by Fundell to approve consent agenda. Motion Carried.
II. New Business
Motion by Anderson, 2nd by Rietgraf to approve Nick Heuser as Athletic Director for 2017 – 2018. Motion Carried.
Motion by Rietgraf, 2nd by Anderson to approve Betsy Sobin at the Title 1/RTI teacher. Motion Carried.
Motion by Freeman, 2nd by Anderson to approve the 2017 – 2018 student/parent handbook. Motion Carried.
III. Adjournment
Motion by Fundell, 2nd by Bernardoni to adjourn regular board meeting at 8:56 p.m. Motion Carried.
