Rep. David Welter (R-Morris) will host a free Children’s Health and Safety Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Saratoga Elementary School in Morris, according to an event flier.
The fair will feature a wide range of organizations that operate in the Morris area, including businesses that offer services and classes for children and a sampling of state, county and local government agencies and entities. Also on hand will be the Traveling World of Reptiles show and more than 10 exciting trucks and vehicles that kids will be able to interact with, including a firetruck and a medical helicopter.
The fair will also feature information about ICash, bicycle safety, internet safety and nutrition, among other topics. Demos will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a presentation from Forte Arts Center, followed at 10:30 a.m. by the reptile show. At 11:30 a.m., Chang Lee’s Taekwon Martial Arts will put on a demonstration, and the fair will wrap up with giveaway drawings at noon.
