Anyone interested in becoming a tax professional is being invited to free training from the Abacus Tax School, according to a posting on the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development.
Classes begin on Sept. 7 and will prepare students in tax preparation; job opportunities are possible after finishing the class.
Knowledge of computer programs and good people skills are advantages, Abacus said.
Although the training is free, there are fees for books and materials.
