Two child advocate volunteers were recently commissioned by the LaSalle County Circuit Court in Ottawa and have joined the LaSalle County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) staff.
“LaSalle County CASA Executive Director CiCi Chalus was pleased to welcome new volunteer advocates Renee Sheth of LaSalle and Cynthia Perryman of Morris,” an Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development release said. “After completing CASA's 30-hour training program, Sheth and Perryman were commissioned by the Honorable Judge Cynthia Raccuglia at the LaSalle County Circuit Court in Ottawa. CASA advocates are trained volunteers appointed by the judge to represent the best interests of children in the juvenile court system due to abuse or neglect.”
