Village of McNabb Board of Trustees met Dec. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The President and Board of Trustees met in regular session on December 13, 2017. Roll call was taken. Present were Village President Brandy Sandberg, Treasurer Dennis, Clerk

Harrison, Trustees Edens, Haar, McNaughton, Trone, Vaskie and Wegrzyn. The minutes of the November 8, 2017 meeting were approved as sent by Trustee Trone with a second by Trustee Haar, motion carried.

TREASURER’S REPORT - 11/30/2017

General Fund

FSB - Checking Account 2,581.65

FSB - Money Market 335,583.04

Trustee Edens made a motion to accept the 11/30/2017 financial report with a second from Trustee Trone. Motion carried.

BILLS

Trustee Trone made a motion to pay bills as presented with a second from Haar, motion carried.

COMMUNICATIONS

-Thank you from PC Wellness Program

-Donation Request from Toys In The Pantry - Wegrzyn made a motion to donate $100, Haar seconded, motion carried.

-PC Library Newsletter

-Christmas party invitation were distributed to board members

GUESTS

-Jim Pozzi from Republic Services was in attendance to answer any last minute questions concerning the service they will be providing to the Village.

-Shirley McCart - Village resident was present to inquire about the new garbage service.

Her questions were answered.

ZONING AND PLANNING

-No report

WATER AND MAINTENANCE

-Harrison will order 14 valves from Valworx for the price of $6048.

-Dan Richardson shut off was repaired

SEWER

-Baskets have been cleaned

-Lights at STP and lift stations have been repaired or replaced

-Ahlers informed the board that he will be using Rid-X at the STP monthly instead of yearly

ENGINEERING

-Mike Richetta met with Ken Parks/IDOT inspector concerning 2012 subdivision street work.

Reports have been received and filed.

POLICE

-No report

BASEBALL

-No business

NEW BUSINESS

-2017-18 Tax Levy Ordinance #244 was approved by roll call vote.

Edens - aye Trone - aye

Haar - aye Vaskie - aye

McNaughton - nay Wegrzyn - nay

-Haar informed the board that the mower and tractor is in need of end of the year service.

Approx cost for mower is $265. Mekley informed Haar that there is a slow leak in tire.

Approx cost for JD tractor is $349 - last service date was 12/15

Trustee Vaskie made a motion to service the equipment, Trone seconded, motion carried.

-Closed session minutes were reviewed - they will remain closed.

OLD BUSINESS

-Attorney Churney has informed Harrison that the Village has a garbage ordinance in place - Ordinance #152.

-Sandberg signed a 10-year agreement with Republic Services with service beginning January 1, 2018. Billing will be quarterly.

There was no further business. The next meeting will be held on January 10, 2018. Trustee Haar made a motion to adjourn the meeting with a second coming from Trustee Edens.

Meeting was adjourned.
