Village of Wyanet Board of Trustees met Dec. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Village President Bruce Hand called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. Following the pledge of allegiance roll call was answered by Hand, Bickett, Peterson and Spears. Etheridge and Law were absent.

No guests were present.

Chief Marquez presented the monthly activity report. Part time police officer, Tye Cone’, will begin classes January 6th. The Solicitation Ordinance has been updated for the board to review and he will prepare a list of street lights that are in need of repair.

Maintenance Supervisor, Brandon Teske, presented the village maintenance report. In addition to regular maintenance projects, the garbage was repaired, the salt spreader is ready, mowers have been put away and the sidewalk has been put back in place by Bpart.

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Spears to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.

Committee Reports: Building & Equipment – Trustee Spears asked if the garbage truck has been inspected. Teske reported that it can be now that repairs have been completed.

Old Business:

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Peterson to approve the 2017-18 Property Tax Levy in the amount of $131,434.00. Ordinance #O-6-17-12-12. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.

A motion was made by Spears and seconded by Bickett to approve the revised health insurance plan. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.

New Business:

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Spears to approve the Solicitation Ordinance #O-7-17-12-12. Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.

A motion was made by Spears and seconded by Bickett to approve the 2018 meeting schedule. The December meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 12th instead of Tuesday. Motion passed unanimously by voice vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.

Engineer Jack Kusek informed the board that the sewer lining grant application is ready to go and will be submitted later in the week. Chief Marquez will review the dogs at large ordinance.

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Peterson to adjourn the meeting at 6:10 p.m. Motion passed unanimously by voice vote. Etheridge and Law were absent.
