Oglesby Public Library Board met January 10.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
President Rich Vollmer called the Special Meeting of the Oglesby Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 1:30pm in the library.
Present: Rich Vollmer, Dorothy Debosik, Mary Hansen, Rick Rigazio, Sam Tillmann, Wanda Lent, Barbara Ficek, Director Rebekah Clark
Absent: None
Guests: None
A notice was received by the library that we were mandated to have a Sexual Harassment Policy that complied with the State of Illinois guidelines on file by January 15, 2018.
In the pre-meeting board packets Director Clark provided the Anti-harassment Work Environment Policy that is presently in the Oglesby Library Employee Handbook for review. Clark also presented a draft policy with the recommended guidelines to be included in a Sexual Harassment Policy. The draft was reviewed and it was found that it followed the new guidelines.
A motion was made by Debosik and seconded by Lent to adopt the Policy Prohibiting Sexual Harassment as presented. This policy replaces the portion regarding sexual harassment in the Anti-harassment Work Environment Policy.
Roll Call- Ayes-All. The motion carried.
A new Index Page will be added to the Policy Manual to include the Policy Prohibiting Sexual Harassment.
