Village of Wyanet Board of Trustees met Jan. 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

Village President Bruce Hand called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. Following the pledge of allegiance roll call was answered by Hand, Bickett, Law, Peterson and Spears. Etheridge was absent.

No guests were present.

Chief Marquez presented the monthly activity report. The village has been certified with LESO for another year. Tye’s classes will take place on weekends. The consensus of the board was that he will be allowed to work 16 hours patrolling in addition to class time.

Maintenance Supervisor Brandon Teske presented the maintenance report. They have been working in the office basement, painting inside the water tower, snow removal and regular maintenance issues.

There was a water main break on Greencastle Dr. and a frozen transducer in the water tower. He will be gathering information on vac trailers.

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Spears to approve the consent agenda as presented.

Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Etheridge was absent.

NCICG will be providing the village with the sidewalk survey they had conducted last summer.

A thank you from Friends of Strays was received for the John Swarszewski memorial donation from the village.

The plaque in memory of John Gordon is finished and will be placed in the park shelter.

A motion was made by Bickett and seconded by Law to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 p.m. Motion passed unanimously by voice vote. Etheridge was absent.
