Peru Committee of the Whole met January 22.

A Committee Of A Whole meeting was called to order by Scott J. Harl in the Peru City Council Chambers on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.
City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Potthoff, Ferrari, Waldorf, Lukosus, Radtke, Sapienza, Payton and Ballard present; Mayor Harl present.
Minutes
Mayor Harl presented the Committee Of A Whole Minutes of January 8, 2018. Alderman Radtke made a motion that the minutes be received and placed on file. Alderman Potthoff seconded the motion; motion carried.
Closed Session
Mayor Harl asked for a motion to go into closed session to discuss meetings where the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body is being considered, including meetings held for the purposed of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired and meetings where the setting of the price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body is being considered; meetings to consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees, including the public body s legal counsel, or to hear testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. Alderman Payton made a motion to go into closed session. Alderman Potthoff seconded the motion. City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Potthoff, Ferrari, Waldorf, Lukosus, Radtke, Sapienza, Payton and Ballard voting aye; motion carried.
Closed session began at 6:32 p.m.; ended 6:58 p.m.
Alderman Payton made a motion to re-open the meeting at 6:58 p.m. Alderman Waldorf seconded the motion. City Clerk Dave Bartley called the roll with Aldermen Potthoff, Ferrari, Waldorf, Lukosus, Radtke, Sapienza, Payton and Ballard present; Mayor Harl present.
Adjournment
Alderman Potthoff made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Alderman Lukosus seconded the motion and motion carried. Meeting adjourned 6:59 p.m.
