City of Oglesby City Council met February 20.

Ivan Baker, from NCIEDC, gave the council an update on the efforts that the organization has been making within tri county area and specifically Oglesby.
The Mayor opened the floor to comments from the public on agenda items only. There were none.

Dave Lourie, T.E.S.T General Manager was present to answer any questions the council had.

Fire Chief Ron Popurella was present to inform the council of the need for the replacement of the 1989 fire truck and to answer any questions the council had.

The Mayor asked for comments from the public. Business owner Rich Baldridge, Bulldogs Bar, asked the council about the changes in the Liquor Ordinance. Rich specifically asked about the change in the Saturday hours and the fees. The Mayor and City Attorney Jim Andreoni answered his questions.
Commissioner and Mayor’s Report:
Commissioner Rivara said through research he has come to the conclusion that the City can’t be a part of the interruptible services due to the way our facilities are set up.
Commissioner Zborowski said that the snow storm last week hit hard and all city employees did a great job plowing snow. One of our plow trucks broke down and Steve Michelini, from Peru Township, let the City borrow one of theirs. Commissioner Zborowski thanked Steve and Peru Township for the help.
