Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Morris) was joined by more than one page during a Senate floor debate on March 14.
“I am pleased to be joined by several people here today,” Rezin said while announcing her first guest, Ottawa High School Sophomore Alisha Gram.
“After she graduates she would like to become an attorney, especially after hearing the previous debate,” Rezin said, referring to heated debate regarding gun legislation.

Rezin said the student would like to graduate from Notre Dame Law School.
“She is a mentor with the freshmen program team, which is what I like to see; and she is a member of the dance team,” Rezin said. “She is a senior and is glad to be here as a page for the day with her dad.”
Rezin continued her warm Springfield welcome.
“I have Carlton Faye from Hennepin, from my district, and Hannah Shores from Centralia, (in) Sen. (Kyle) McCarter’s (R-Lebanon) district, both (are) graduating from SIU Law School next month and are interested in government,” Rezin said, adding that both students worked in the Jackson County state’s attorney office.
She then encouraged the Senate to welcome her guests with a round of applause.
