Analysis: LaSalle pays $6.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lasalle Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.1 percent of the $165,968 the Lasalle Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, LaSalle contributed $142,838 to the fund, which saw a $29,287 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $23,131, or 13.9 percent, in 2016.
