Analysis: LaSalle pays $5.21 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lasalle Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.3 percent of the $898,698 the Lasalle Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.21 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, LaSalle contributed $730,805 to the fund, which saw a $89,009 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $140,204, or 15.6 percent, in 2016. Another $27,689 came from other unspecified sources.
