Analysis: Marseilles pays $1.67 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Marseilles Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 62.6 percent of the $167,425 the Marseilles Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.67 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Marseilles contributed $104,848 to the fund, which saw a $18,041 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $62,578, or 37.4 percent, in 2016.
