Analysis: Princeton pays $2.38 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Princeton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 70.5 percent of the $475,432 the Princeton Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.38 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Princeton contributed $335,106 to the fund, which saw a $75,051 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $140,326, or 29.5 percent, in 2016.
