Analysis: Spring Valley pays $3.19 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Spring Valley Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.2 percent of the $262,533 the Spring Valley Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.19 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Spring Valley contributed $199,946 to the fund, which saw a $42,597 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $62,587, or 23.8 percent, in 2016.
