City of Princeton Citizens Electric Utility Advisory Committee met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

The April 10, 2018 meeting of the Princeton Citizens Electric Advisory Committee was called to order by President, Michael Sullivan. Members in attendance were Robert Davidson, Jim Smith, Kent Harmon, Mark Austin, Matt Keutzer and Kay Wallace along with Jeff Mangrich. Rachel Skaggs was absent as she was working on the budget.

Minutes from March 10, 2018 were approved with corrections.

Much discussion took place regarding the LED bulb give away. It was decided that we would give away the number of bulbs that are given to us by the IMEA. Much discussion was had as to how the bulbs would be dispersed once the give away begins. The committee would like for more households to be able to get the allotted number of bulbs. We had this discussion because it was brought to our attention that a husband and wife both came to get bulbs on each day until the bulbs were gone. The committee suggested for this year that we have a sign in sheet and that no household would receive more than the allotted number of bulbs for this year. No definite resolution was decided upon. More work is needed on this item. Maybe coupons for each household/billing address. Jeff will check with billing clerk to see if a coupon system is workable.

The committee also discussed the net metering credit that would be given in regard too solar panels that are being installed by some customers. How much credit would be given, how to figure it, i.e. whole sale or retail.

Bob Davidson gave us an update on the spread sheets that he has been working on with Jeff and Rachel in regard too power cost adjustments that are made each year. Bob presented info on the formula that is used on the spread sheets and suggested some changes that need to be mde. He will continue to work on this with Jeff and Rachel.

Under old business there was some discussion on the debt that will probably be incurred by the electrical department because of some capital

expenditures that need to be funded. We do need to rebuild at least one of our generators. This discussion will be ongoing.

The next meeting date was set for May 8, 2018, 8:00 AM at the City Hall. Kent Harmon made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Jim Smith.
