Report: Hall spent $19,593 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Hall Township High School District 502 is up 43 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $13,746 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $19,593 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 393 to 417.

Hall's spending in 2016-17 was 51 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
