Report: Oglesby spent $9,206 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oglesby Elementary School District 125 is up 19 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $7,736 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,206 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 601 to 582.

Oglesby's spending in 2016-17 was 29 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
