Report: Ottawa spent $13,373 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Ottawa Township High School District 140 is down 0 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $13,412 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,373 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1476 to 1384.

Ottawa's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
