Report: Miller Township spent $10,072 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Miller Township Community Consolidated School District 210 is up 16 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $8,671 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,072 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 241 to 198.

Miller Township's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
