Report: Minooka spent $8,105 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201 is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $7,495 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,105 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4070 to 4603.

Minooka's spending in 2016-17 was 38 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
