Report: Morris spent $12,101 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Morris Community High School District 101 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $10,877 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,101 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 979 to 852.

Morris's spending in 2016-17 was 7 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
