Report: La Moille spent $15,874 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at La Moille Community Unit School District 303 is up 42 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $11,167 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,874 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 277 to 241.

La Moille's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
