Report: Depue spent $9,096 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Depue Unit School District 103 is down 10 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Bureau County school district spent $10,095 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,096 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 495 to 440.

Depue's spending in 2016-17 was 30 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
