Report: Grand Ridge spent $12,603 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Grand Ridge Community Consolidated School District 95 is up 32 percent from five years ago, according to a Illinois Valley Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lasalle County school district spent $9,524 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,603 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 300 to 221.

Grand Ridge's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
