New Seneca Community Consolidated School District 170 issued the following announcement on May 25.
After studying space exploration, the 7th grade students built their own water rockets out of 2-liter and 20-ounce bottles. They researched the best ways to make nosecones and fins, and put their designs to the test. In a head-to-head competition, all 26 rockets took flight. The winning rocket traveled almost 29 meters (95 feet)! Congratulations on your successful rockets 7th grade!
